Round 1 is 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 6 v 3, 4 v 5.
Who plays whom, and when
The top teams meet 1 v 2 in round 5, 1 v 3 in round 2 and 2 v 3 in round 6. The last round is 7 v 8, 1 v 6, 5 v 2, 3 v 4.
Home games: teams 1, 3, 5 and 7 have 4 and the rest have 3. Home and away alternate round to round.
How long it takes

If your field changes
Dropping to 7 teams gives 7 fewer games, in the same number of rounds. Going up to 9 teams gives 8 more games, and 2 rounds longer. Teams drop out the week before more often than they join, so print one sheet for the next size down.
