Round 1 is 1 v 4, 2 v 3.
Who plays whom, and when
The top teams meet 1 v 2 in round 3, 1 v 3 in round 2 and 2 v 3 in round 1. The last round is 3 v 4, 1 v 2.
Home games: teams 1 and 3 have 2 and the rest have 1. Home and away alternate round to round.
How long it takes
At 30 minutes a game, 6 games take 3 h of court time. A round has 2 games, so 2 courts play a round together and finish in 1 h 30 min; on 1 court it takes 3 h. Rank teams as set out in the tiebreaker guide.
If your field changes
Dropping to 3 teams gives 3 fewer games, in the same number of rounds. Going up to 5 teams gives 4 more games, and 2 rounds longer. Teams drop out the week before more often than they join, so print one sheet for the next size down.
